What MegaSquirt ECU do I need?

This setup provides a true Plug-n-Play, fully mappable MegaSquirt ECU for the Mk2 MX5 1.6 or 1.8 (Non VVT)


It consists of 2 ECUs, a modified Mazda ECU and a specially built MS2 or MS3 ECU. (MS3 prices are £85 more than the quoted MS2 price)
The Modified Mazda ECU controls the idle speed, rev counter, air con (if fitted) cooling fan and alternator charging functions, so no modifications are needed to the ancillaries or wiring.
The idle valve control is kept as standard making tuning very easy, as the Mazda ECU does a great job of this.

All the Mazda sensors are kept as well, although if you are going for a boosted setup the Air temperature sensor will need re-locating from the air box to the intake pipe just before the plenum.

The AFM is redundant, so you can remove that if you wish.
The MegaSquirt ECU is there to give you full mappable control over the fuelling (original or larger injectors) and ignition using the original Mazda coil packs.
Fuelling can be either Semi-Sequential or Fully Sequential, depending on the option you chose. A fully sequential setup must have Hi-Impedance injectors (injector resistance higher than 10 Ohms)

Options such as launch control, shift light, fan control, etc, can be added (up to 3) at £5 each. These functions would need wiring in to a bare ended loom I provide.

Semi-Sequential fuel MS2 setup - £465 (MS3 £540)

Full Sequential fuel MS2 setup - £500 (MS3 £585)
