6 Cylinder Kits

What MegaSquirt ECU do I need?

Black anodised Cases
(£15 extra when ordering an ECU)

Fuel with Wasted Spark Ignition Control
EDIS6

Fuel with Wasted Spark Ignition Control
Directly Fired from ECU (Not EDIS6)

These kits are put together so you get everything you need to get your engine running in one go. The MS ECU has all the standard features you've come to expect from myself plus a fan output for optional cooling fan control or a switchable map input for LPG control, a tacho output for your rev counter (tacho output only for non distributor setups) and an Open Style Air Temperature Sensor to allow the MAF to be removed.

If you just want the ECU without the other bits then see the Engine Management Page HERE.

All kits are MS2-Extra ECU's, if you want an MS1-Extra ECU then simply reduce the cost by £45, you will lose the idle stepper motor control with an MS1 though, as the MS1 can only drive a PWM Idle valve (2 or 3 wired device). An MS2-Extra ECU can drive either a PWM idle valve (2 or 3 wired device) or a stepper motor valve (4 wired device)

All these ECU's allow you to remove the restrictive AFM used on many OEM setups. An Air Temperature sensor is supplied and needs fitting into the air intake close to the throttle plate. The MAP sensor is built into the ECU and simply needs 'T'ing into the fuel pressure regulator reference pipe, do not use the vacuum feed for the distributor as this is a ported hole.

Fuel with Wasted Spark Ignition Control (Direct Drive):
This setup is very similar to the EDIS6 kit but it doesn't use the EDIS6 module as it can directly fire the coil packs using built in Bosch ignition drivers. It doe's call for resistive spark plugs and good HT leads to be used as well as good engine grounds. This then allows you to run without the need for a distributor as the trigger comes off a 36-1 crank wheel which gives a much more accurate ignition timing. It does mean you'll have to fit a 36-1 crank wheel (inc in the kit) and a crank sensor (inc in the kit) but its is easy to do, see HERE. This setup will then give you mappable fuel (16x16 table) and ignition (12x12 table). Again it can control the Lucas Idle Valve, will give you a 16x16 fuel table and 12x12 ignition table, see HERE for more of the MS-Extra features.

Kit includes:
MS2-Extra ECU
Air Temperature Sensor
Wiring loom (1m long)
36-1 crank wheel (Choice of size: 101.5mm - 171.5mm - 209.5mm diameter)
Crank sensor (Used but tested)
If you need a Cylindrical Crank Sensor, then I can supply new ones for £20 extra
6cy Coil Pack (Used but tested)
HT Leads (Used but tested)
Tuning Software
RS232 Comms Cable
CD with manuals specifically designed around the MS2-Extra ECU, etc.
£510 plus postage of £25 in the UK, £35 any where else. (For an MS1 reduce cost by £55)
