This
all starts in the Summer of 1999, when I decided to fulfil a dream,
not only to build my own car, but to build what I consider to be one
of the most beautiful cars in the world; an AC Cobra 427. I had
never built a kit car before, or even stripped an engine down, but I
was sure if I took my time, seeked lots of advice and took a logical
approach, it should go with out too many problems! (Who am I kidding?)
I had a tight budget, projected at £13-15K, but I intended to build
as much as I could myself, or get some very good friends to help, to
keep the costs down.
Another restriction is the working space. I only had a standard, single
garage during the build stage.

shows the complete build of my Cobra replica, from start to finish and
beyond! If I've missed anything or you feel I should add something,

page is as close as possible to the real expenditure to get it on the
road with the N/A 3.5L SD1 engine, but I may have missed the odd item.
Obviously it's a lot higher now with all the stuff I've done, 5.0L engine,
etc.
